Energy efficient process heating solutions
Increasing energy costs impact industry profitability: offering its users significant energy savings and environmental benefits, Inditherm offer a solution using Carbon Polymer Technology
Increasing energy costs are having a direct impact on industries profitability. Offering its users significant energy savings and environmental benefits, Inditherm plc, who are based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, have developed and manufactured heating solutions for markets as diverse as food and beverage, chemicals, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, utilities and general process applications. Based on a unique, patented Carbon Polymer Technology (CPT) the Inditherm system operates at low voltages (generally 6 - 12V DC or 24 - 65V AC) and generates a uniform heat output over its entire surface area with operating temperatures from ambient up to 120C.
The fabric like qualities of the CPT system mean that it can be fitted to almost any shape from valves, pumps and pipework ancillaries up to large areas such as tanks vessels or even large flat surfaces.
One of the major benefits is the low running costs compared to traditional process heating systems such as electric trace heating, hot water jacketing or steam.
Tests have shown that it can be up to half the price of water and steam systems and one third the cost of electrical heating.
In addition to its energy efficiency aspects, the Inditherm carbon - based polymer temperature management products also offer inherent environmental benefits.
Steve Barker, Sales and Marketing Director, Inditherm explains 'Increasing energy costs are having a direct effect on profitability.
Due to the low operating voltage typically heating a metre of 3' diameter steel pipe to 60C would take approximately 400W.
Compare this to an electric heating system that would take anywhere from 1.4 - 2 KW and the energy saving potential is obvious'.
Inditherm has completed successful installations across all of its chosen market sectors.
A major reason for its success is built upon the fact that the company not only designs and manufactures all the products at its Rotherham factory but it also has its own dedicated, highly trained and qualified team of installation and service engineers.
Inditherm offers a full range of support and services to all their customers wherever they are located.
