Plate Heat Exchanger handles capacities to 15,585 gpm
Measuring approximately 13 ft, Model T50 has 20 in. port on plate with 38 sq-ft of heat transfer area and is suited for sea cooling applications in large plants. Plate is available in low-theta, medium-theta, and high-theta versions that can be combined in 5 channel combinations to provide optimized design for specific temperature programs. Unit can be supplied with options such as reinforced feet, extended connections, and earthing lugs.
Alfa Laval has recently released the largest plate heat exchanger ever produced in the company's nearly 70 years in the plate heat exchanger business. Known as the T50, the approximately 13-foot heat exchanger has a 20-inch port and can handle capacities up to 15,585 gpm (975 kg/s) depending on media, permitted pressure drop and temperature program. This provides greater cooling capacity on a smaller footprint.
The T50 is particularly well-suited for sea cooling applications in large plants which today often require large cooling capacities. With the 20" port on a plate with approximately 38 square feet of heat transfer area, the T50's large capacity will allow plants to perform heat transfer duties with fewer heat exchangers.
The T50 plate is available in low-theta, medium-theta and high-theta versions that can be combined in five channel combinations to provide an optimized design for specific temperature programs. It can be supplied with a range of options including reinforced feet, extended connections and earthing lugs.
