Encore Clean Energy Achieves Phase One Milestone of the MPG

Encore Clean Energy, Inc. (OTC BB: ECLN) today announced the achievement of a significant milestone in the development of its MPGā„¢ (Magnetic Piston Generator).

A first-generation, Phase One, laboratory version of the MPG "linear engine/generator" has been built and demonstrated. It uses pressurized air from a standard shop air-compressor to drive a five-segment magnetic piston back-and-forth through a series of electro-magnetic coils at high velocity to generate electricity according to Faraday's Law of Induction. The greater the velocity of the Magnetic Piston passing through the coils, the greater the electrical power output that can be generated. The Company believes that the MPG's linear generator design is capable of generating magnetic piston velocities and proportional power outputs that are higher and potentially more cost-effective than current conventional rotary generators.

The Company plans to build a larger-scale, Phase Two, MPG connected to heat exchangers which will be designed to convert any "free" source of heat (geothermal heat, solar thermal heat, ocean thermal heat, vehicle tailpipe exhaust heat, air compressor heat or industrial smokestack waste heat) into a valuable new source of electricity -- without consuming any additional fossil fuels nor generating additional greenhouse gas emissions.

Encore believes that countries worldwide can reduce their dependence on foreign energy imports and at the same time meet their growing population demand for electricity by taking advantage of and harnessing the vast amounts of untapped domestic heat-energy resources which are currently being wasted, ignored and unexploited by the industrial world, to the detriment of their national economies and energy security.

Dan Hunter, CEO of Encore, commented: "I believe this is a significant event for the company that will make it possible for us to form sublicensing partnerships around the world with local energy companies and entrepreneurs who are interested in building, owning and operating MPG systems, and bringing new sources of valuable electricity to their local markets."
