Improved infra-red process drying

Improved drying performance for water-based products such as inks, paints and varnishes can be achieved by using the Victory fast response, medium wave infra-red NDA lamps

Improved drying performance for water-based products such as inks, paints and varnishes can be achieved by using the Victory fast response, medium wave infra-red NDA lamps, which have been developed as fit-for-fit replacements for short wave units. Medium wave infra-red offers advantages over short wave in that it is insensitive to colour and readily absorbed by water and many plastics and paints. Typical process applications include drying water-based inks, drying screen-printing on textiles, thermoforming, shrink-wrap and blow mounding.

A new tungsten coiling technique for the filament manufacture allows more energy to be distributed in the medium wave range and the lamp has watt densities up to 55W/cm.

Furthermore it has instant switch on, which produces instant heat.

Universal burning means that the lamps are equally effective mounted horizontally or vertically.

Available in 500, 1000, 2000 and 2500-watt ratings, the lamps are up to 900mm long and 10 or 12.5mm diameter, although special sizes can be made to order.

The lamps can also be supplied mounted in panels.
