Modine Will Receive the Cooling Innovation Award for its PF2 Micro Channel Technology at the World's Largest HVAC&R Trade Show

Modine Manufacturing Company (NYSE:MOD), a worldwide leader in designing building HVAC and refrigeration system solutions, will receive the Cooling Innovation Award for its PF2 micro channel product line. Modine will receive the award at the fourth annual International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) Awards ceremony on Tuesday, January 24 in Chicago, Illinois. The ceremony is held in conjunction with the AHR Expo, the world's largest HVAC&R trade show event, January 23-25 at the North and South Hall of McCormick Place in Chicago.

Modine's revolutionary patented PF2 cooling core technology - which stands for parallel flow plate fin - is an all-aluminum brazed heat exchanger that solves water drainage problems found in current micro channel heat exchangers. Introduced last year, the groundbreaking fin design found on PF2 micro channel exchangers can drain water in vertical or horizontal settings, giving end users and OEMs a number of cost saving opportunities.

"PF2 micro channel technology is a tremendous addition to our line of heat exchanger solutions," said Craig Grohman, Modine OEM Sales Manager for the Commercial HVAC&R Division. "This technology can be applied to condenser and evaporator applications in refrigeration and air conditioning systems, the key being the evaporator opportunity."

Modine will showcase its PF2 technology at the AHR Expo in booth #2527, where attendees can speak to Modine representatives and learn first-hand about the advantages PF2 has over existing technology.

"We want OEM engineers who visit the show to walk away from our booth knowing PF2 is the new and improved product of choice if they want to save cost, decrease weight, or reduce refrigerant charge," said Wayne Canfield, General Manager of the Commercial HVAC&R Division. "Our design will provide greater incentives for OEMs to switch from standard round tube plate fin to PF2 technology."

In addition to visiting Modine's booth, those looking for more information on PF2 are invited to attend a special presentation on Monday, January 23 at 3:30 p.m. in the North Hall Theater (near booth #1170), or visit www.modine.com.

The Cooling Innovation Award Ceremony is open to the public and is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24 in the New Product Technology Theater B located on the Show Floor in the South Hall.
