Rexroth Mecman has significantly expanded its popular 579 series of compact, high performance valves to meet the requirements of developing industries. Manufactured from lightweight engineering plastics, the 579 is part of the company's 'smart' valve range. It features poppet technology to provide higher flows and faster response times - while having no special air filtration requirements.
New additions include two smaller orifice diameters of 1.2mm and 4mm and the option of a combined valve and cylinder unit.
Multiple pressure feeds/inlets can also be combined on one manifold.
A 5/2 valve type has been introduced in addition to the 3/2 normally open and normally closed versions and the valve unit is now available as both a single and dovetailed manifold.
Further developments include the introduction of a clip-on plastic silencer for the exhaust port for faster, easier maintenance.
A pre-set breaking point on the valve housing also enables the valve to be fixed or dismantled more quickly from a DIN rail mounting.
The new developments offer greater flexibility, easier maintenance and cost-savings to a wide variety of automation, electronics, packaging and pharmaceutical applications.
