SMC to work more closely with machine builder NIS

NIS Ltd of Chorley and SMC Pneumatics (UK) Limited have announced the formalisation of a Partnership Agreement which builds a closer working relationship between the two companies. NIS design and manufactures special purpose machinery. It has a particularly strong reputation in cathode ray tube technology and provides full turnkey services.
The company have taken the decision to form partnerships and alliances with many of their major customers and have found that by developing strong relationships that both parties have benefited.
Following the success of the customer agreements they are now introducing this initiative with major suppliers.
SMC Pneumatics have been selected as a partner for pneumatic components and control systems - the concepts and systems put in place will then form a blueprint for other suppliers.
SMC have only achieved this status by competitive pricing, offering a wide range of product, giving constant support in all areas, especially technical input, etc.
Benefits to NIS are mainly within cost effective purchasing, giving them a competitive discount structure with long term price stability, free technical support, circuit design and product selection.
In addition, the company will also enjoy free pneumatics training covering SMC products as well as City and Guilds accredited training in pneumatics technology.
In other words, SMC have pledged to give NIS the highest possible level of monetary and service benefits from their purchase of pneumatic equipment.
The commitment to SMC is that NIS will acknowledge SMC Pneumatics (UK) Limited as their preferred supplier.
There will be an open communication policy between the companies to ensure better understanding, as well as a dedicated SMC sales engineer who will work alongside NIS personnel to ensure correct product selection, monitor delivery schedules and assist with circuit design.
